•  40 Hr. Armed D.C. Special Police Officer Certification - This course, offered in accordance with District of Columbia regulations, is designed to teach security officers how to be safe, effective and timely in performing their duties. The main topics covered in this course are: Use of Firearms and Other Service Weapons, Use of Force Continuum, Criminal Liabilities of Carrying a Firearm, Core and Range Safety Rules, Nomenclature and Operation of a Service Weapon, Fundamentals of Marksmanship, and Handgun Handling Technique.

•  8 Hr. Armed D.C. Special Police Officer Re-Certification - This course, offered in accordance with District of Columbia regulations, is designed to be a refresher course to reinforce the security officers’ knowledge of being safe, effective and timely in performing their duties.

•  Unarmed G.S.A. Training Course - This course, offered in accordance with United States Federal Government regulations, is designed to ensure that unarmed security officers are effectively trained to fulfill the G.S.A responsibilities of controlling access to federal property, assisting in the ensuring the safety of employees and visitors while on Federal property, and assisting in the ensuring the safety of Federal property. Some of the topics covered in this course are: Patrol and Observation, Response to Disturbance, Response to Crime in Progress, Safety and Fire Prevention, Arrest Procedures and the Law, Search and Seizure, Use of Force, and Defensive Tactics.

•  Armed G.S.A. A-1 Training Course - This course, offered in accordance with United States Federal Government regulations, is designed to ensure that armed security officers are effectively trained to fulfill the G.S.A responsibilities of controlling access to federal property, assisting in the ensuring the safety of employees and visitors while on Federal property, and assisting in the ensuring the safety of Federal property. •  G.S.A. S-1 Supervisory Training Course - This course, offered in accordance with United States Federal Government regulations, is designed to ensure that security supervisors are effectively trained to oversee G.S.A security officers. This 9- hour course consists of the following subjects:

  Practical and Tactical Handcuff Certification (PATH®):

Handcuffs are among the most often used tool by officers, yet training is severely lacking. Handcuff Studies show that over 67% of resistance by subjects occurs after the first handcuff has been applied. All too often the result is injury and/or death to either the officer or the subject. This program teaches officers how to safely and successfully apply handcuffs on compliant and non-compliant subjects.

•  ASP Baton Certification:

This certification is a hands-on course designed to train participants in operational use of the ASP tactical baton. The program is simple to learn and easy to understand. It provides efficient defensive impact weapon tactics for law enforcement personnel without long hours of training. The techniques were designed to work effectively for all law enforcement officers, male and female, large and small, fit as well as officers in less than peak physical condition.

The program provides carrying and drawing procedures, as well as striking techniques. These tactics are quickly learned, easily practiced and readily maintained long after the program is completed. By the end of the ABC program, participants will have a basic understanding of the conditions in which the baton may be used, justification for use and how to document these actions.

•  Monadnock Expandable Baton Certification:

This certification is a hands-on course which trains participants in operational use of the Monadnock tactical baton which covers you for use of the ASP baton. The program is simple to learn and easy to understand. The techniques were designed to work effectively for all officers. The program provides carrying and drawing procedures, as well as striking techniques. These tactics are quickly learned, easily practiced and readily maintained long after the program is completed.

•  O C Spray Certification (OCAT):

The OCAT certification provides officers with information on the physiological effects, the use and the after use of oleoresin capiscum. The course will present principals, skills and techniques of understanding and using “OC”; control violent and aggressive behavior, reduce personal injury to officers, subjects, and the general public; increase an officer's confidence in the physically threatening situations; and reduce the exposure of civil liability of the officer and the employer for unnecessary of improper force used to control violent and aggressive people.
